Assistant to the President and Program Assistant for the Vance Center
GENERAL LIST OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the President and the Vance Center in various aspects of their work.
- Assume primary responsibility for special projects.
- Assist in coordinating events including conferences, round tables, seminars receptions and committee meetings .
- Assist Vance Center in maintaining donor records, updating data bases, managing donor communications and the annual appeal process.
- Assist as liaison between the Vance Center and partners in Latin America and Africa.
- Undertake research assignments on a wide range of issues; and draft memos and correspondence.
- Provide clerical and administrative support including but not limited to typing, pc work, filing, scheduling and photocopying.
- Participate in projects and provide support to other departments as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Resourceful and flexible self-starter with excellent time management and prioritization skills who has the ability to work independently and manage a multiple reporting relationship.
- BA/BS required
- Previous data entry/data base management required.
- Excellent communication (both written and oral), interpersonal, problem solving and organizational skills required.
- Knowledge of Word and Excel a must.
- 1+ year’s previous office experience and Spanish language preferred.
Position available immediately. Salary Range low 30’s
