Berger Opotowsky

Barbara Berger Opotowsky is Executive Director of the
New York City Bar. Ms. Opotowsky is responsible for the operation
of this 23,000 member organization, which accomplishes much of its work
through its more than 160
committees, each dealing with specific areas of law or the legal
profession. The Association also serves the public through its affiliated
organization, the City Bar Justice Center, which provides pro bono legal
services in a wide range of areas. Ms. Opotowsky is the past President of
the Better Business Bureau of Metropolitan New York, where she was
responsible for the operations of the three Better Business Bureau offices
in New York City and surrounding areas. Prior to that position, she was
Assistant Commissioner of the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs
and an associate at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP. Ms. Opotowsky received
a BA Degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a JD Degree from
Fordham University School of Law.
