Edwin
S. Maynard
Mr.
Maynard is a partner in the Corporate Department of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind,
Wharton & Garrison LLP, where he specializes in corporate finance and
mergers and acquisitions, both domestic and cross-border. He is co-head of
the Securities Group, head of the firm's Canadian Practice and founder and
director of a program in which the firm provides legal advice to
microentrepreneurs in Harlem and other neighborhoods in upper Manhattan.
Mr. Maynard speaks frequently on a range of capital markets and other
securities law topics and has previously served as the sole American
representative on the Securities Advisory Committee of the Ontario
Securities Commission. The Legal Aid Society presented him with its 2001 Public Interest
Leadership Award and its 2001 and 2003 Pro Bono Awards. Mr. Maynard is a member of the board of directors of Volunteers of
Legal Service, The Cyrus R. Vance Center for International Justice
Initiatives Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New
York, the Classic Stage Company and a trustee of the Gateway School. Mr. Maynard received a B.A. from Princeton University and his law degree from New York
University School of Law.
