Mediation Settlement Day, 2006
Public Kick-Off Event at the NYC Bar Association

When: Tuesday, October 3, 2006
Open House: 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Presentation: 7 to 8 p.m.

Where: New York City Bar, 42 West 44th Street (bet. 5 th & 6 th Aves.)

The Mediation Settlement Day events are designed to further understanding of the mediation process and advance the use of mediation by New York ’s citizens, communities, businesses, and courts. The event is co-sponsored by a coalition of public service organizations, schools, court programs, and bar organizations throughout the state and beyond. From 5:30 to 7 p.m. , representatives of the participating sponsors will be present to provide information about the mediation programs offered by their organizations and the events that are planned for Mediation Settlement Day ( October 19, 2006 ). The October 3 rd presentation will begin at 7 p.m.

MICHAEL S. GRECO, Immediate Past President of the ABA .

Previous Honorary Chairpersons:

Former Mayor and U.S. Ambassador Andrew Young; Former U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno; Hall of Fame NBA Coach Lenny Wilkins; and Special Master of the 9/11 victims compensation fund, Kenneth Feinberg.
