Free Legal Information Fair
Coming To Manhattan’s Foley Square
What: Annual Law Day Celebration
When: Friday, April 30th, 2004, at 11
a.m. -- 2 p.m.
Where: Foley Square, Downtown Manhattan
60 Centre Street, facing the Courthouse.
The Legal Referral Service, in cooperation with
the Association of the Bar of the City of New York
and the New York County Lawyers’ Association,
is holding a series of free legal information fairs
throughout New York City in celebration of National
Law Day. The series culminates with a special Manhattan
appearance on Friday, April 30th at Foley Square
beginning at 11 a.m.
The media is invited to this public event, which
is designed to give citizens easy access to free
legal advice on every area of the law. The fair
will offer New Yorkers the opportunity to learn
about their legal rights, receive material on legal
topics, and consult with experienced attorneys
free of charge.
Community leaders and representatives from local
bar associations and other organizations will be
on hand to answer questions and provide information.
Lawyers will be ready to discuss issues such as
landlord/tenant disputes, immigration, discrimination,
small claims court, victim services, consumer law,
small business concern, and more.
