McDonald Award Winners

To Be Presented at Reception
Honoring NYC Family Court Judges

What: Evening Reception for Family Court Judges and
Presentation of McDonald Awards

When: Tuesday, January 27, 2004 at 6 p.m.

Where: House of the Association, 42 West 44th Street

New York – The Association of the Bar of the City of New York has announced the three winners of this year’s Kathryn A. McDonald Awards, which are presented annually for excellence in service to the Family Court. This year’s honorees have dedicated their abilities and leadership skills throughout their legal careers to the Family Court and the population that it serves.

The award winners are Carol R. Sherman, Barbara H. Dildine and Molly Armstrong. Carol R. Sherman and Barbara H. Dildine, are Executive Director and Deputy Director, respectively, of the Children’s Law Center, and Molly Armstrong, is Coordinator of Demonstration Projects at the Vera Institute of Justice. They will receive their awards at a reception honoring New York City Family Court Judges, to be held Tuesday, January 27, 2004, at 6 p.m., at the Association.

The Kathryn A. McDonald Award is named in honor of the former Presiding Judge of the New York City Family Court. The Awards will be presented by Chief Judge Judith S. Kaye of the New York Court of Appeals.

The Kathryn A. McDonald Award is sponsored by the City Bar’s Committees on Children and the Law, Family Court and Family Law, and Juvenile Justice, and its Council on Children.

The Association of the Bar of the City of New York was founded in 1870, and is dedicated to maintaining the high ethical standards of the profession, promoting reform of the law, and providing service to the profession and the public.
