History of the National Moot Court
Since 1950, the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, in conjunction
with the American College of Trial Lawyers, has sponsored the National
Moot Court Competition. Each year, over 150 law schools compete in the
regional rounds throughout the United States and the winners advance
to the final rounds which are held at the House of the Association. This
prestigious competition allows law students to argue a case in front
of prominent judges and lawyers.
